Digha Beach

Digha beach is one of the most happening seaside city resort known for weekend destination for kolkatans.

Digha lies in East Midnapore district of west Bengal, India and at the northern end of the Bay of Bengal. It is around 183KM away from Kolkata. One can take a car or a bus from Kolkata or a train from Howrah. 

Old Digha

There are two Digha, One is old Digha and the other is new Digha. The old Digha is the central location however nowadays the new Digha takes the main centre stage for the tourist as it has a wider sea beach to play. It is around 2 Km to New Digha from old Digha.

New Digha

There are lots of transportation at Digha to take you around but nothing like an open air motorcycle rickshaw vans ride.

There are lots of hotels, but it is advisable to book in advance. This facility is available from the city office (Kolkata) as most of the big hotels have a counter in different part of the city. Apart from this, online booking too is possible. Most of the pictures or info on net are deceptive so one should be mentally prepared to tackle the situation when you land up at the spot. As this shouldn't be the case to spoil your trip.
